It began with a single beetle in a golden piece of Burmite. Holding it meant holding an actual creature from a world unimaginably different from our own. That is a hard feeling to shake.

The collection grew, and the reading grew with it: research papers, inclusion guides, stories of the Hukawng Valley. Eventually the obvious thing happened. If we enjoyed exploring this world so much, other people probably would too.

So we built a place to share it. Some visitors come looking for a specimen. Others simply want to understand what they are seeing. Both belong here.
